Crucial Crew visited Westfield School today. Woodpecker and Robin classes joined in talks and demonstrations about staying healthy, looking out for danger, how to respond in case of fire and much more. Police, Fire Brigade and Health Workers talked to the students about five key elements for a healthy mind with the slogans:

  • Connect
  • Take Notice
  • Give
  • Keep Learning
  • Be Active

The Fire Brigade officers demonstrated what to do in case of fire by blowing fake smoke into a tent and allowing the students to see how the smoke travels upwards and how to get out in an emergency. They have also reminded about checking FIRE ALARMS and not overloading sockets or charging mobile phones over night.

The Police Officers showed the students all the gadgets that help the Police to protect the public and the students all had a go at finger printing. Everyone left with a goody bag at the end of the morning.

Thank you to Crucial Crew for a very informative morning.
