Science Week   13 - 17 March 2017

Throughout this week pupils at Westfield School carried out lots of scientific investigations and experiments.

Some classes looked at and measured different temperatures of items in freezing, cold, and warm places. Others did some kitchen chemistry, baking bread rolls but leaving out different ingredients each time. Yet others did some explosive testing using coke and mentos, film canisters and Alka-seltzer as well investigating nature's colourful palette, catching a rainbow in milk mixture and making gloop and watch it dance on the speaker at high volume.

On Friday's assembly pupils demonstrated some of the experiments including making a lava lamp with baby oil and food colouring.
