Our PTFA

Parent, Teachers & Friends Association

Making a difference

The Westfield PTFA aims to be an integral part of the whole school community. We work hard to raise money which can then be spend on providing additional equipment and resources to enhance the students’ school experience.

The PTFA aims to create and provide closer links between home and school, bringing staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school and working towards common goals.

All parents and members of the school community are automatic members of the PTFA, and are welcome to become involved at any level, even if they only have a small amount of time.

Our events are designed, not only to raise funds, but also to widen the social opportunities and experiences open to our students and their families. Examples of annual events include a September fete, Christmas Bingo, Race Nights, and an annual Easter Egg Hunt. Examples of resources provided or funded include sensory equipment, playground improvements, a therapy bed, and the funding of individual Christmas gifts for each student.

The PTFA Committee

Our PTFA committee consists of four elected officers, Chair Person, Vice Chair Person, Treasurer, Secretary. We also have at least three other Committee members to make up the full Committee. The Committee meets on a regular basis, usually once each half term.
